Justice Faisal Zaman issued a 4-page written verdict. The court ruled that the petitioner had been mistreated, adding that the law had been enacted but the society is not recognizing the transgender community. A transgender person has to show courage to show their identity, a transgender person has to face difficulties in getting an education.

Earlier, the Lahore High Court, while hearing a petition against non-allocation of quota for eunuchs, allowed transgender Faizullah to sit for the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) examination. Justice Faisal Zaman Khan of Lahore High Court heard the petition of Faizullah.

The court asked the lawyer of the Punjab Public Service Commission why he did not accept the application. On this, the lawyer PPSC said that if higher education gives permission, they have no objection. On this occasion, the section officer of the higher education department also told the court that he had no objection to accepting the application if the transgender accepts the application as a woman. On this, the court directed the Faizullah to re-submit the petition.
