Abhishek’s birthday wish for mom Jaya Bachchan, Navya Nanda shares throwback pic of nani

Jaya Bachchan turns 75 today, April 9, and her family is celebrating. While our eyes are glued to Amitabh Bachchan’s social media handle for his sweetest birthday wish for the Missus, son Abhishek Bachchan and granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda dropped the best birthday wishes for Mrs Bachchan.

On Jaya Bachchan’s 75th birthday on April 9, son Abhishek Bachchan posted a ‘blur and beautiful’ with her. The photo was from back in time. In the same, Abhishek is seen proudly looking at his mom on his first-ever public event as an actor, for debut film Refugee.

Sharing the photo, Abhishek wrote, “Not the best photo, I know. But, the emotion is loud and clear!! To the first and everlasting love of any child, Ma! Happy birthday, Ma. I love you. This is a photo from my first official public function as an actor. The music launch of my first film, Refugee. I hope I continue to give her reason to be proud of me (sic).”

Granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda was one of the first ones to wish Jaya Bachchan on social media. She dropped a gorgeous throwback photo of her nani and wrote, “The real powerhouse. The glue that binds us all. I love you! (sic).”

Jaya Bachchan started her career in 1963 with Bengali film, Mahanagar. In 1971, she made her Bollywood debut with Guddi, which established her as a reigning Bollywood actress of her time. She has headlined superhit films such as Jawani Diwani, Bawarchi, Anamika, Mili, Abhimaan, and others.

She made a guest appearance in Ki & Ka in 2016. Next, she will be seen in Karan Johar directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani with Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh.
