Abid Ali has been overlooked for Test series against England, despite full recovery.
The Pakistan Cricket Board’s selection committee and team management did not consider the record-setting opener Abid Ali to be a part of the squad for the Test series against England. Last December, the 35-year-old Abid Ali suffered a heart attack while batting during a domestic match.
After full recovery, Abid Ali has been playing cricket matches again since April this year with the permission of the PCB medical panel.
Determined to make a comeback in the team, the right-handed batsman is representing Central Punjab in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. He has also scored 421 runs in 14 innings of nine matches.
