The accountability court rejected the pleas of all the accused in the rental power case. The pleas of 10 accused, including former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, were rejected.

Accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir ruled in the case. The accused had filed pleas for acquittal under the NAB Amendment Ordinance. The court has decided to continue the trial of Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and other accused.

Eight accused have filed a plea of ​​acquittal in the rental power case reference. Earlier, former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf was acquitted in another reference in the accountability court in Islamabad.

The court also acquitted Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in the missing rental power case. Eight accused, including Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, have been named in the missing reference.

Raja Pervaiz Ashraf was acquitted last week in Sahwal reference, Piran Ghaib reference was filed by NAB Rawalpindi in 2014, 192 MW rental power plant was installed in Piran Ghaib area of ​​Multan, Pervaiz Ashraf as Minister he was accused of water and electricity corruption and illegal use of power.

On the other hand, NAB has announced to challenge the decision of Rental Power Corruption case. A statement issued by NAB said that former Prime Minister, PPP leader Raja Pervaiz Ashraf will challenge the acquittal of all the accused, Raja Pervaiz said. There is evidence against all the accused including Ashraf. The acquittal order of the accused should be declared null and void. Piran will appeal against the decision of the court in the missing reference.
