AC rejects plea of Raja Pervaiz Ashraf
Wednesday, July 8th: According to the report of Baaghi TV, the accountability court in Islamabad rejected the plea of former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in the rental power corruption case. The accountability court rejected the pleas of all the accused in the rental power case. The pleas of 10 accused, including former prime minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, were rejected. Accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir ruled in the case. The accused had filed pleas for acquittal under the NAB Amendment Ordinance. The court has decided to continue the trial of Raja Pervaiz Ashraf and other accused. Eight accused have filed a plea of acquittal in the rental power case reference. Earlier, former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf was acquitted in another reference in the accountability court in Islamabad. The court also acquitted Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in the missing rental power case. Eight accused, including Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, have been named in the missing reference.
