Accountability Court extends judicial remand for PMLN leader

LAHORE (29th Nov, 2019): Accountability Court (AC) has extended judicial remand of PML-N leader, Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother.
According to reports, Accountability Court judge, Amir Muhammad Khan, reportedly took up the Paragon Housing case again the Khawaja brothers for hearing on Friday. AS confirmed by sources, PML-N leader, Saad Rafique and his brother appeared before the court.
The court has ordered the brothers to appear before court for the next hearing scheduled for the 9th of December. Moreover, the court has summoned witness, Mr. Qaiser Amin But and Judicial Magistrate, Mr. Zulfiqar Bari, once again.
According to Baaghi TV’s sources, the National Accountability Court (NAB) had launched an investigation against the alleged embezzlement in the Paragon Housing society against the former Railway Khawaja Saad Rafique in November of 2018. At the time of the investigation, NAB had established the plea that Paragon Housing society is ownership of the PML-N leader who had denied the claims and expressed disassociation from the society.
Moreover, NAB had taken Khawaja Saad Rafique and his brother, Khawaja Salman Rafique into its custody on the 11th of December, 2018, after their bail plea had been rejected in the aforementioned society#s case.
The latest development in the case, as confirmed by sources, is a 10 day extension in remand of the Khawaja brothers following the Friday hearing of the case.
