Government’s failure to meet the demand for public punishment leads to firing in court, perpetrator accused of rape shot dead by relative of victim.  Accused Aslam, a resident of Veer Hathar village of Khadian Khas area on the outskirts of Kasur, was shot dead in District Bar Kasur on the occasion of his appearance in court. A case was registered against Aslam alias Malangi in Khadian police station a few days ago. During the hearing this morning, the victims family shot and killed the accused. Panic spread in the courtroom from the firing of bullets. Police have arrested the accused Yaseen on the spot along with weapons, while two persons were also seriously injured as a result of firing by the girl’s relatives, who have been transferred to DHQ hospital. District Bar Kasur President Mehr Mohammad Salem Advocate has declared an immediate strike against the incompetence of the security agencies over the incident. In the notice issued, all the lawyers have been asked not to appear in the courts. Sources said that relief was given to the accused allegedly involved in the abuse by the local police station Khadian Khas.
