Acting President, PM condemn bomb blast in Mastung

Acting President Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have strongly condemned bomb blast at a Girls’ High School in Mastung district of Balochistan.

In their separate statements, they expressed deep grief over the death of children and a policeman in the incident. They also expressed condolence to the bereaved families, and prayed for granting fortitude to bear this loss.

The Acting President, in his statement, reiterated the resolve to root out terrorism from the country. He said terrorists are the enemies of humanity and entire nation stands united to support the security forces and law enforcement agencies to eliminate terrorism.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his statement, expressed the determination to continue war till complete elimination of the scourge of terrorism from the country.  He said the attack on a school exposes terrorists’ animosity towards education in Balochistan.

Shehbaz Sharif said such cowardly acts of terrorists cannot undermine the nation’s morale. He said such attacks can also not shake the unwavering resolve of the government for promotion of education and development in Balochistan. He said the whole nation feels proud of its policemen and soldiers for rendering sacrifices for the sake of the country.

The Prime Minister directed the authorities concerned to apprehend the perpetrators of the blast and award them exemplary punishment. He also instructed to provide the best medical treatment facilities to the injured.
