He stated that this decision aims to strengthen trade relations with Afghan and foreign businessmen residing in the UAE.

According to Feda, the prime minister of the Islamic Emirate has approved the appointment of the trade attaché in the UAE.

Feda said: “A position for the trade attaché exists within the consulate in Dubai, and activities in this sector have been ongoing for a long time. However, we currently do not have a diplomat assigned as a trade attaché.”

Feda also said that multiple meetings have been held between high-ranking officials of the Islamic Emirate and the UAE, which will result in travel facilitation for Afghans visiting Dubai.

The consul general of the Islamic Emirate in the UAE said: “Overall, the senior officials of the Islamic Emirate agree based on the country’s policy. However, discussions are still ongoing regarding the specific procedures for visa distribution.”

According to information provided by the consul general, most Afghan travelers to the UAE visit for trade and employment purposes, while a smaller number travel to meet their families.
