Afghanistan Appoints Lance Klusner As Head Coach

Former South Africa all-rounder Lance Klusener has been appointed as new head coach of Afghanistan cricket team.

According to details, over 50 candidates had applied for the head coach of Afghanistan,with Lance Klusener emerging as the top pick. Sources have confirmed that Klusener’s tenure would be till the end of 2020.

Klusener played 49 Test matches and 171 One Day International (ODI) matches for South Africa. During his test career,  he collected 1906 runs and 80 wickets, while, in ODI’s he collected 3576 runs and 192 wickets.

Reportedly, In 2016, Lance Klusener serving as the batting coach for Zimbabwe. He has served as bowling coach of Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL). In the recent times, he served as assistant batting coach of South Africa for the T20I matches against India.
