Afghanistan Cricket Board has unveiled the official playing kit of the team for ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

Afghanistan is gearing up for the ICC World Cup 2023, commencing with a match against Bangladesh on October 7, a Saturday.

The ICC World Cup 2023 is set to kick off on October 5, with India as the host nation. The tournament will feature a total of 48 games involving 10 teams, culminating in the final match on November 19.

Apart from Afghanistan, the participating teams include India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, England, and the Netherlands. Afghanistan has emerged as a formidable force in international cricket over recent years.

They secured direct qualification for ICC World Cup 2023. Afghanistan boasts exceptional power hitters and skillful spin bowlers in their lineup, capable of dominating their opponents. Some notable batters in their squad include Hashmatullah Shahidi, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, and Mohammad Nabi.

Afghanistan also possesses one of the strongest spin attacks, featuring talents like Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Ur Rahman. Additionally, their squad boasts several all-rounders, a significant asset for the team.

In the previous edition of the ODI World Cup in 2019, Afghanistan had a tough campaign, losing all nine matches they participated in and finishing in the 10th position on the points table. However, under the leadership of Hashmatullah Shahidi, they aspire to deliver a better performance in the upcoming edition of the tournament.
