Afghanistan said the statements of US President Donald Trump regarding the retrieval of military equipment from Afghanistan were “emotional.”

The spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, Zabihullah Mujahid, dismissed Donald Trump’s claim that the Bagram base is under China’s control, stating that the US President lacks accurate information.

Mujahid said: “Now he claims that Bagram is in the hands of the Chinese, whereas Bagram is under the control of the forces of the Islamic Emirate. There is not a single armed Chinese individual here, nor do we have any such agreement with any country. Why is he spreading such misinformation at such a high level? His information needs to be complete. The United States is a major country, and its leader should speak with great accuracy.”

According to the spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate, European countries seek direct relations with the caretaker government of Afghanistan but refrain from doing so due to their treaties with the United States. He also said that some countries still continue a war-oriented policy towards the Islamic Emirate.

Zabihullah Mujahid said: “In some countries, the war-era policy still prevails. For example, in the US, the mindset regarding Afghanistan remains close to that of wartime. The same perception about the Islamic Emirate still exists there. Unless they change their mindset and remove the obstacles they have created themselves, it is natural that they will not be able to engage with us.”

Regarding economic achievements, Mujahid mentioned that the construction of the Qosh Tepa Canal has now reached Faryab province. He assured countries that share water resources with Afghanistan that their rights would not be compromised.

The spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate stated: “Neighboring countries that share water resources with Afghanistan have been reassured multiple times that not a single drop of water will be wasted in this project.”

Mujahid also spoke about some countries maintaining official relations with Afghanistan but choosing not to announce them publicly due to various reasons.
