Mohammad Nabi Omari, the Afghan deputy minister of Interior, at the 2024 Global Public Security Cooperation Conference in China, dismissed the presence of al-Qaeda and ISIS in Afghanistan as unrealistic and said that Afghanistan’s soil will not be used against any country.
