Lahore, 27th August: Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed has said that Afghan citizens with proper documents will get a Pakistan visa.

According to details, Sheikh Rasheed said on Friday that a 21-day transit visa will be granted to diplomats and others being evacuated from Afghanistan in order to facilitate the withdrawal process.

According to reports from ARY News, the interior minister addressed a press conference today and informed that residents of any country will be given a transit visa of 21 days on arrival to Pakistan.

 

Rasheed said, “We are ready to give a 21-day visa to diplomats of United States, Germany, Britain and others,”

He also added that citizens of any country can also avail themselves of this opportunity after being evacuated from Afghanistan.

Sheikh Rasheed further ensured that Afghan citizens with proper documents will get a Pakistani visa.

 

Sheikh Rasheed disclosed that we have sealed 2, 686 km long Pak-Afghan border to limit any type of crossing from the other side. He added that Chaman and Torkham borders are currently working for the transport of goods and the public.

He said that the Taliban will soon form a government in Afghanistan after August 31, when all the NATO troops will leave the country. Taliban have also assured that their soil will not be used against Pakistan.

US Air Force planes likely to fly over Pakistani airspace

It may be noted that around 2,000 Afghan citizens are being allowed entry in Karachi, Pakistan currently. Their accommodation is being arranged in the metropolitan city where they will arrive in two days’ time after getting out from Kabul.

It may be recalled that a large number of Afghanis were seen in various videos getting out of Kabul airport after the Taliban took over Kabul last Sunday.

As per reports, Pakistan has so far helped 1,335 foreigners of various countries to evacuate from Afghanistan soon after the Taliban took over Kabul’s presidential palace on August 15.
