According to a report of Baaghi TV, Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi returned to Pakistan after completing his two-day visit to China.
When Shah Mehmood Qureshi returned from China, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Moin ul Haq, Foreign Ministry, senior Chinese officials and Pakistani embassy officials bade farewell to the Foreign Minister and the delegation at Hainan Airport.
During his brief visit to China, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Zhi and discussed a wide range of issues, including bilateral relations, economic and regional cooperation and the Pak-China Economic Corridor.
The Foreign Minister led the Pakistani delegation in the second round of Pak-China Strategic Dialogue in Hainan and presented Pakistan’s position on various bilateral issues. A joint statement was issued at the end of the second round of Pak-China Strategic Dialogue and the Foreign Minister addressed a joint press conference with his Chinese counterpart Wang Zhi.
During his brief visit, the Foreign Minister also interacted with the Chinese and Pakistani media and briefed them on the aims and objectives of his visit.
The Foreign Ministry has issued a statement on the Pak-China Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. According to the statement, the second round of strategic talks between Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Wang Zhi has begun.
The two Foreign Ministers discussed the Corona virus, relations, global and regional issues and agreed on measures to safeguard common interests, peace and development of the region. The statement said that the two leaders also agreed on joint development of a vaccine against corona, while the two foreign ministers opposed giving political color and titles to corona.
