Air India ‘illegally’ terminates 50 pilots, ICPA intervenes

New Delhi: Air India pilots have sought to intervene with the management regarding the issue of termination of services of 50 pilots illegally. According to details, the Indian Commercial Pilots Association (ICPA) has written a letter to Air India Chairman and Managing Director Rajiv Bansal on Friday which stated that about 50 pilots have received illegal termination letters from the personnel department for violation of the company’s service rules. ICPA said in a tweet, ‘What’s happening? Around 50 of our pilots have been terminated overnight unceremoniously without proper procedure being followed.
