Airbus 320 reaches Islamabad as the second dry-leased aircraft

ISLAMABAD: The second dry leased aircraft of PIA has reached Islamabad this year.

Airbus 320 was acquired on a six-year lease. The plane arrived in Islamabad from the French city of Perpignan via Egypt and will be formally added to the PIA fleet in the next few days.

The national airline previously acquired a dry leased aircraft three weeks ago, which has become part of the operation.

Airbus 320 will be the third aircraft to become part of the PIA fleet under the current administration. With the addition of this aircraft, the total number of Airbus 320 aircraft in the PIA fleet has increased to 11.

According to the business plan, more aircrafts will be part of the PIA fleet. The CEO of PIA specially thanked Minister of Aviation and the Ministry of Finance for their cooperation in procuring the aircraft.

Air Marshal Arshad Malik said that the acquisition of new and improved aircrafts will significantly increase PIA’s product.

Moreover, the CEO of PIA claims that PIA has recently improved its services and now complies with all international standards of operation and safety.
