India: Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa, that released on March 30, saw a sharp drop in its collections on Day 2. However, on Day 3, April 1, it made up for lost ground with a good Saturday collection. The collections were the highest of the three days as it collected around Rs 12 crore in a single day, hence taking the total to around Rs 30 crore. Ajay Devgn has directed the film too. Bholaa, that also stars Tabu, took a bumper opening at the box office with around Rs 11.20 crore.

Bholaa opened to positive responses from the audience and critics alike on March 30. The film earned Rs 11.20 crore on its release day. On Day 3, April 1, the film earned even bigger numbers. It minted Rs 12 crore in a single day, according to early reports. Hence, the total collection now stands at Rs 30.60 crore. Meanwhile, Bholaa had an overall 18.36 per cent Hindi occupancy on Saturday, April 1.

According to Box Office India, “Bholaa made good gains on Saturday as collections will come in the same range as day one with around 10-11 crore nett. The business in many multiplexes of the big centres is more than the first day but collections at places where it got a good benefit of the holiday will not reach the first day level. The growth should come in at 50-60% which is good and the collections are a decent 27 crore nett plus over the first three days. As mentioned earlier the cinema reports of the film are decent but the mass pockets have been hit by Ramazan and this makes the Sunday crucial for the film.”

The report further suggested, “The growth on Saturday has come from the bigger multiplexes with the 3D prints showing pretty good occupancy but on Sunday it is about mass and the growth has to come from the Hindi circuits. The film should be targeting a 40 crore nett weekend but it depends if Sunday can push or will Ramazan again come in the way.”
