Al Qadir Trust is open-and-shut case, says SAPM Irfan Qadir | Baaghi TV

Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Accountability Irfan Qadir has expressed the government’s resolve that there would be ‘zero tolerance’ for those plundering the national exchequer.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, Irfan Qadir, however, said that accountability would not be used for political victimization of the government’s opponents.

He alleged that the last government of PTI had lied to the National Crime Agency. “The agency was mistaken that the money would land in a bank account in Pakistan,” he added.

He said that the country should get its looted wealth back.

Qadir said that the amount sent from abroad was still lying with the Supreme Court (SC). “It should also be investigated as to why the SC did not look into the matter then,” he said.

The SAPM also claimed that former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan had acquired the land for the Trust, valued at Rs240 million, for free.

He went on to say that besides Imran, his wife Bushra Bibi and her friend Farah Gogi were also nominated in the ‘mega’ corruption case.

He said that although the case was simple, but it was being made to look complicated.
