Ali Salman Alvi sent to Adiala Jail

Lahore, 9th July: The court has sent the accused Ali Salman Alvi to Adiala Jail on a 14-day judicial remand.

According to a Baaghi TV report, Ali Salman Alvi, accused in the Zahra murder case, was sent to Adiala Jail on judicial remand on Wednesday.

Police are awaiting the post-mortem report and forensic science laboratory reports in the case. Police said it was a murder or the deceased had committed suicide, and until it becomes clear from the reports of the Forensic Science Laboratory, the police will take up the case keeping in view both the aspects in the investigation of this case. Accused Ali Salman Alvi was sent to Adiala Jail on judicial remand on Wednesday.

Syeda Mahwish, Zahra’s sister told the police that on June 29, 2020, they were at their house in Chaklala when her brother-in-law called them up and told that her sister has committed suicide. When they reached her place, Zahra’s body was hanging from the ceiling.

Schools to reopen in September

Ali Salman claimed that Zahra had committed suicide, however, Sadaf Zahra’s family members have accused the husband of her murder as he used to beat her up brutally.

It should be noted that yesterday, journalist and human rights activist Ali Salman was arrested on the charge of murdering his wife.
