Lahore, 6th May: All Pakistan Public Transport Association has written a letter to the Prime Minister and has made a big demand.

According to the report of Baaghi TV, All Pakistan Public Transport Association has applied for the relief package from Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The petition filed by Ismatullah Khan Niazi, chairman of All Pakistan Public Transport Association, said that in the current situation, transporters have been ignored, the public transport sector pays billions of rupees in taxes to the government.

All buses across Pakistan are on lease. The petition further said that in these circumstances not all transporters can submit installments.

Transport business should be given the status of an industry. Lockdown has made drivers, hostesses, hawkers, security staff unemployed. It is requested to announce a relief package for them too.

It should be noted that lockdown has been imposed across the country due to coronavirus. The National Coordinating Committee will meet today in which an important decision will be taken regarding the lockdown.
