Lahore High Court (LHC) has extended interim bail of Hamza Shahbaz till June 11 in three cases.
NAB is investigating Hamza Shahbaz in three cases including assets beyond sources of income, Ramzan Sugar Mills and Saaf Pani. 2-member bench of LHC presided over by Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi is hearing the case.
Due to the fear of mistrust chief justice LHC decided to change the bench. Earlier a two members bench led by Justice Ali Baqir Najfi was hearing the case.
The court had barred NAB from arresting Hamza Shahbaz till today. Hamza Shahbaz had approached the LHC for extension in bail before arrest in cases including Ramzan Sugar Mills, assets beyond known sources of income and Saaf Pani. Azam Nazir Tarar and Amjid Pervez advocate appeared on behalf of Hamza Shahbaz to present him.
Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi said at the inception of hearing it is very old matter. Counsel for Hamza Shahbaz Sharif was irritated and said the matter is pending hearing since two months.
Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar remarked “ over two months have been elapsed. Such time is not given in bail before arrest.
