QUETTA: Governor Balochistan Amanullah Khan Yasinzai has said that it is a good idea to provide the facility to the people to register their grievances through Pakistan Citizen Portal (PCP) as directed by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Since its inception, not only the self-esteem of the common man has been restored but also the confidence of the people in the national institutions has been increasing due to this forum.
Governor Yasinzai said that timely steps taken by the federal agencies working in the provinces to address public grievances have not only improved the performance of the agencies but also strengthened the process of accountability and transparency. He expressed these views while addressing the first introductory meeting of the representatives of all federal agencies working in Balochistan province at the Governor House, Quetta on Tuesday.
It is to be noted that the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has tasked the Governors of all the provinces of the country to review the system of redressal of public grievances in the federal agencies working in the provinces through the Pakistan Citizen Portal. In this regard, under the Prime Minister’s Delivery Unit at the Governor House Quetta today, the Governor Balochistan Monitoring Dashboard held a detailed discussion on evaluating and reviewing the performance of federal agencies in the province.
The meeting agreed to submit monthly progress reports to all concerned agencies to the Governor’s Secretariat and to submit them to the Prime Minister’s House every three months. Many important decisions were taken as a result of suggestions and recommendations of the participants in the meeting.
