ISLAMABAD – October 9, 2025: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has successfully dismantled a major international drug trafficking network attempting to smuggle heroin from Pakistan to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). According to ANF officials, 11 suspects, including four women and a pharmacist, have been arrested in a series of coordinated operations. The investigation revealed that the network was exploiting poor young couples, luring them with promises of lucrative jobs and a better future abroad. Once recruited, the traffickers coerced them into carrying narcotics by swallowing capsules filled with heroin, hidden inside their bodies to evade airport detection.
