The third wave of COVID-19 in Pakistan claims another 100 lives, as 5,139 new cases confirmed.
According to the figures released by the National Command & Operation Center (NCOC), out of 100 deaths in the last 24-hours, 93 were in-hospital while 7 were outside of the hospital. According to reports, the mortality rate in Pakistan is 15,329 deaths while, 73,078 active cases in Pakistan.
Since the outbreak last year, 627,561 patients have recovered across Pakistan. Meanwhile, most deaths reported to be 6,908 in Punjab, and most cases 268,284 in Sindh.
Corona virus is continuing to spread rapidly across Pakistan with the NCOC declaring 26 districts as high-risk areas.
The Government of Pakistan has urged the public to stay at home unless absolutely essential and to strictly implement SOPs such as maintaining social distance and wearing a mask. Moreover, the public has been advised to stay away from crowded places.
