Another relief to PTI by top court

The Supreme Court of Pakistan SC has set aside registrar office objections against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf PTI petition to ensure right of vote to overseas Pakistanis.

A three judge bench comprsing CJP Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Ijaz and Justice Mansoor will take up Imran petition against recent amendments in NAB law on Friday.

As per Baaghi TV report, currently, four important PTI petitions including NAB law amendments, ECP delimitation process, overseas Pakistanis right of vote and allowing peaceful protest in Islamabad are pending in Supreme Court.

Constitutional experts said that once again composition of bench will be important to decide fate of these cases.

Ruling coalition has severely criticized the SC verdict and boycotted the proceedings demanding full court in the matter.

JUIF leader Moulana Fazl ur Rehman termed the SC verdict in favour of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as judicial murder of democracy and PMLN VP Maryam Nawaz Sharif termed it as Judicial Coup.

while, PTI chairman Imran Khan has hailed the SC judges for setting aside the pressure of ruling government that wanted full bench, and, gave verdict on merit.
