Apple smartphones worth Rs8.4 million seized at Karachi airport

Customs authorities captured a bid to smuggle electronic gadgets of worldwide famous brand Apple, worth Rs8.4 million into the country.
Acting on a tip-off, Deputy Collector Customs Touseef Gorchani, investigate three bags coming from Dubai via private flight arrived at the Jinnah International Airport, Karachi.
During search 56 smartphone were in hidden areas in the bag, out of these 56 smartphones 48 were recently launched iPhone 11 models.
The seized smartphones value was estimated at around Rs8.4 million, according to customs officials.
Earlier this week, customs officials had seized four gold biscuits from a passenger at the Islamabad International Airport.
