May 2, 2021: Facebook, the world’s largest social media platform, has expressed concern for its business over the release of Apple’s new software.

BaaghiTV: According to the BBC, the increase in iPhone sales since the onset of the global epidemic, especially in China, has doubled Apple’s profit. According to Apple, consumers are buying Apple’s new 5G phones introduced last year to work and read from home, as well as Mac computers and iPads.

While sales of Apple’s music and fitness apps have also increased during the lockdown, sales of Apple’s phones, apps and other devices have also increased as consumers now spend more time online looking for work, shopping and entertainment.

“This quarter shows how our products have helped our customers in this moment of their lives and how our customers are optimistic about the days to come,” said Apple CEO Tim Cook. In this regard, Facebook, which relies on ad sales, has seen huge revenue and profits in the first three months of the year, but at the same time, the major social media company has expressed concern on the announcement of the release of new Apple software.

What is the concern? The technology company says Apple’s new policy later this year could significantly reduce Facebook’s revenue, making the new privacy policy more difficult for targeted advertising.

Facebook said in a statement that it expects changes to the iPhone’s privacy policy to affect Facebook’s second-quarter revenue, but that third- and fourth-quarter revenue could increase gradually. Facebook has expressed anger over Apple’s needs, saying that iPhone app developers are asking users to collect a certain type of data in order to receive ads.

According to a statement from Facebook, Apple’s move could hurt Facebook, affecting small Facebook companies that rely on personalized advertising. It should be noted that after Apple introduced a new feature in its software this week, the two major technology companies have come face to face. This new feature will allow users to decide whether or not to allow apps to collect their data, and many will likely say no, but user data is the reason why the business of book advertising is so lucrative.

Facebook has seen an increase in the number of monthly active users, which has increased by 10% to 2.85 billion.

Google’s parent company Alphabet recently reported record profits in the three months to March as its advertising revenue grew by a third due to “increased online consumer activity”. Because people around the world are now spending more time indoors to avoid the corona virus.
