Appointment of Director General of Pakistan Sports Board, Court seeks response
Islamabad High Court hears case concerning the appointment of Director General of Pakistan Sports Board.
According to reports, the appointment has been challenged with the Court issuing notices to the Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination and others for a response. Counsel for the petitioner said that the appointment of DG Sports Board is a prerogative of the Federal Government.

Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Athar Minallah, remarked that the government can only form a board, they cannot make the rules, the Pakistan Sports Board 2021 rules are correct. The Court further issued a notice to the Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination and sought a response within two weeks.

According to reports, the Federal Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination had constituted the Pakistan Sports Board (PSB). Moreover, the notification issued by the Inter-Provincial Ministry shows that the Chairman Higher Education Commission (HEC), has also been appointed as a member of the PSB.
