Earlier, the mother of Shaheed Zain Iqbal, while addressing a function at Ayub Park, said, “Thank you AHF for inviting me. Thank you to the children who performed here. The APS tragedy was huge but all of you have encouraged us. The martyrs are alive. Today’s December 16 was like the one seven years ago. I was also a teacher in APS Girls. Parents could never imagine that their child would come home like this. That day, some recognized their son from the boots he wore and others from their son’s birthmarks. The terrorists came to annihilate our race but they did not succeed. Civil and military martyrs give us the hope to breathe. My son had been in APS from the age of three to nineteen. I am not only Shaheed Zain’s mother, I am the mother of all of them. All the employees including teachers were my family. Our whole family was lost in the tragedy of APS.”
Shaheed Zain Iqbal’s mother cried while talking and said that Zain wanted to be a doctor in future, but martyrdom is the highest level. All parents of the APS tragedy have the same story.
