Army missing chopper wreckage found from Lasbela, all six martyred: ISPR

Dead bodies of officers and soldiers have been shifted to Karachi; Turkey expressed their condolences on the lost lives

The wreckage of the missing army aviation helicopter was found near Haji Musa Goth in Sakran mountain and all aboard embraced martyrdom, said Pakistan Army’s media wing, ISPR.

Local people saw the wreckage of the helicopter and informed the Khuzdar Police.

As per Baaghi TV report, Sakran is a town and union council of Hub Tehsil, Lasbela District, Balochistan.

 

Turkey expresses condolences 

Turkey Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed, “We are deeply saddened to learn that a military helicopter, which was engaged in flood relief work in the Balochistan province in Pakistan has crashed and caused the martyrdom of six military officers on board.

We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives and convey our condolences to the friendly and brotherly Government and people of Pakistan.”

Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday briefed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif about the ongoing search operations for the army aviation helicopter that went missing in Balochistan on Monday night.

The chopper was on flood relief operations in Lasbela, Balochistan when it lost contact with ATC [air traffic control].

Six individuals were on board including the Commander XII Corps Lt Gen Sarfraz Ali, who was supervising flood relief operations in Balochistan.

During the telephonic conversation today, the COAS apprised the premier of the latest information about the progress in search operation for the chopper.
