Lahore, 13th July: Pakistan Army has been called in to ensure the implementation of coronavirus SOPs in the country.

According to reports, after the insurgence of the Delta variant of COVID-19 in Pakistan, the government has asked help from the armed forces to ensure that the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are being followed.

The National Command and Operations Centres (NCOC) made the decision on Tuesday to call in the Pakistan Army for the task.

A statement issued by the NCOC also stated that it is mandatory to get vaccinated prior to domestic travel.

Meanwhile, international flight operations have been increased up to 50% now to help repatriate stranded Pakistanis abroad. The following decision will come into effect from July 15.

It is to be noted that more than 35 cases of the Indian Delta variant of COVID-19 have been reported from Sindh. After the emergence of the deadly variant, the government is taking strict measures to control the spread of the virus.
