February 11, 2021: DC Lahore Mudassar Riaz visited CEO Health Office and inspected the cold room where the covid vaccine is kept.
Health CEO Dr. Siddique and Dr. Faisal were present on the occasion. DC Lahore Mudassar Riaz was given a detailed briefing. DC Lahore Mudassar Riaz inspected the cold room, checked the stock. There are about 23400 covid vaccines are stored in Lahore. Where the Corona vaccine is kept, there are also security cameras monitoring the room.
DC Lahore Mudassar Riaz stated that the vaccine will be given to health workers who are on the front line, he said, “arrangements are being made for this – we are distributing the vaccine under one system, focal person and DDH. There are those who are giving regular verification to various hospitals under guidelines according to NADRA verification system.
People are getting vaccinated, they also want to be vaccinated – but at the moment the vaccines are being given on a priority basis to the front line of our health workers as there is a shortage of vaccines – 12000 have been vaccinated so far. Very soon the vaccine will also be available for the general public, the Government of Pakistan is working on it. Demand is very high, supply as yet can’t meet it, but the Government of Pakistan is working to close the gap and is collaborating with China in this regard.
