Arrested Terrorists planned to attack which important building in Karachi?

Lahore, 8th February: Investigation into the five terrorists’ case has led to shocking revelations.

Baaghi TV: According to reports, the revelations by the five arrested terrorists who were taken into custody by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in an action in Karachi on Monday.

According to the investigation sources, the arrested terrorists who were Afghan nationals were planning to attack the Sindh Assembly building.

Reports tell that the group was being controlled and operated from Afghanistan. Investigators have received the mobile phone and communication data.

The terrorists were fully prepared to attack the Sindh Assembly building and in this connection, a rickshaw was laoded with explosives and suicide jackets were also made.

Further investigation is underway.

Baaghi TV reported earlier that a terrorist was killed and five others were taken into custody after an exchange of fire with the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) team in Karachi, earlier in the day.

According to DIG CTD Umar Shahid, the personnel raided a house in Shah Latif Town area of Karachi. Shahid said that after the defeat of the terrorists, the security personnel took control of the house, after which a large number of explosives was recovered.

Baaghi TV also reported that the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) defused a rickshaw loaded with explosives recovered from the house. The terrorists hid ball bearings and nut bolts in the box in various compartments to maximize the damage. Four suicide jackets, 15 grenades and four Kalashnikovs were recovered from the house, while hundreds of bullets, two rocket launchers and a block bomb had also been recovered.

It is to be noted that a few days ago, the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) had issued an alert expressing the fear of a major terrorist operation in the city.
