Aryan Khan Drug case: No bail granted, to stay in jail till October 20

NEW DELHI: The Mumbai Special NDPS court, which was hearing Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, and Munmum Dhamecha’s bail application in a drug seizure case, has postponed its decision until October 20. On October 20, the court will rule on Aryan Khan’s bail application. That indicates that if the court is free, the hearing will be held again, and Aryan Khan will be held in custody till then.
On Thursday, special judge V V Patil received long arguments from the investigative agency NCB and defense lawyers and scheduled the case for orders the following Wednesday.
The Narcotics Control Bureau said during the court hearing that Aryan Khan was involved in illegal narcotics trafficking, procuring, and distribution.
Aryan Khan sourced drugs and communicated with people in other countries who appear to be part of an international drug trafficking network. According to the anti-drug agency’s statement, “WhatsApp discussions suggest the accused was in contact with a foreign national for a bulk quantity of hard drugs.”
Aryan Khan’s lawyer, on the other hand, maintained his client’s innocence, claiming that Shah Rukh Khan’s kid was not there during the raids. ‘They say they are in touch with MEA and everyone,’ Aryan Khan added through his lawyer. So go ahead and keep going. However, this claim is both absurd and incorrect.
What is the content of this conversation that the younger generation is having? Friendship WhatsApp chats today can sound very different. These are personal moments that are being looked into. You are free to investigate… However, this has nothing to do with illegal activity or drug trafficking. When it comes to evidentiary value, context is important. The conversations are all full of young humor.
VV Patil, a special judge appointed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS Act), heard the case. Senior Advocate Amit Desai represents Aryan Khan, while Additional Solicitor General Anil Singh represents the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
For the unfamiliar, Aryan Khan is now imprisoned in Arthur Road jail on a drug charge. The NCB apprehended him on October 3, a day after the agency busted and held him at an alleged rave party.
