Asad Umar announces the date for the vaccination of 60 and above

Lahore, 7th March: The vaccination drive for people above 60 years old in Pakistan will begin on Wednesday, March 10.
Baaghi TV: The vaccination of people aged 60 years and above against the novel coronavirus will start from Wednesday.
Planning and Development Minister Asad Umar, who is also the head of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on COVID-19 announced on his Twitter account on Sunday, “Vaccinations will be done in reverse order by age. This means the oldest person who has registered will be vaccinated first. Full details will be issued tomorrow.”

It is to be noted that the COVID vaccination drive started on February 3 after 0.5 million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine gifted by China arrived in Pakistan.
Healthcare workers at the forefront of the country’s battle against the novel coronavirus were vaccinated in the first phase of the drive.
As per reports, last month, the government started registering elderly citizens for the next phase of COVID-19 vaccination.
