ASI stationed in Garden Town Investigation Wing commits suicide

Baaghi TV reports that a policeman committed suicide at the Lahore police station in the provincial capital of Punjab.

ASI Abdul Majeed posted in Garden Town Investigation Wing committed suicide at the police station. SP Model Town Investigation Asad Muzaffar said that the deceased ASI Abdul Majeed was posted in Garden Town Investigation Wing Police Station from July 2019. The deceased was suffering from severe mental stress due to the death of his young son while the other son was physically disabled.

SP Asad Muzaffar said that the deceased ASI Abdul Majeed was also undergoing treatment due to mental and psychological stress. The deceased ASI came to the police station on duty as usual today and went straight to his room. The deceased ASI pulled out a pistol from an iron box in his room and killed himself.

The body of the suicidal ASI has been shifted to the hospital for autopsy.
