Attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi, all terrorists killed
KARACHI: Terrorists attacked the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSE), killing six people, including a policeman, while forces retaliated by killing four terrorists. According to police, around 10 am on this morning (Monday), four terrorists first hurled a hand grenade at the gate of the stock exchange and then opened fire indiscriminately. As soon as the incident was reported, a heavy contingent of police and Rangers reached the spot and launched the operation. According to police, police and Rangers personnel entered the stock exchange and in retaliation killed three terrorists while one terrorist was killed in the hall of the stock exchange. A police spokesman said that a civilian was killed in the attack while four security guards of the stock exchange, including a police sub-inspector, were martyred and seven others, including a policeman, were injured. Terrorist attack near Karachi Stock Market Security personnel also cordoned off the surrounding areas after the attack, while II Chandragar Road was closed to traffic from Meri Weather Tower and Shaheen Complex after the attack.
