Austria: The country has decided to impose lockdown upon those who are under twelve years of age and also the older people who have not been properly vaccinated, according to Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg .

Approximately 65% of Austria’s population of the total is fully vaccinated against Coronavirus, Which is considered as a lower rates in the European Union where cases are increasing. With the lockdown conditions as announced on Sunday, the unvaccinated are ordered to stay home except for a few limited reasons; the rules will be policed strictly by officers carrying out spot checks on those who are out.
This plan was agreed in September and it called for unvaccinated Austrians to face a stay-at-home order once 30% of intensive-care beds are occupied by Covid-19 patients. Unvaccinated people are already not allowed to visit entertainment venues, restaurants and other recreational areasin Austria.
The Chancellor’s warning came as Coronavirus cases increasing in Central Europe.
