LAHORE: According to reports, significant progress has been made in the Rawalpindi Ring Road scandal.
According to sources, former DC Rawalpindi Anwar-ul-Haq appeared in the anti-corruption inquiry on Friday in connection with the Ring Road scandal. The anti-corruption had summoned Anwar-ul-Haq in the Ring Road Authority inquiry.
Sources said that former AC Rawalpindi president, former AC Taxila, former AC City Mansoor Ali Qazi also appeared in the Ring Road inquiry.
According to sources, a common man selling land on Ring Road was harmed due to negligence in pricing. In this regard, former DC and former ACs were questioned on negligence in pricing of land.
According to sources, former DC Rawalpindi Anwar-ul-Haq and Assistant Commissioners were also given separate questionnaires.
Anti-corruption officials say the RRR Inquiry Team is made up of legal, technical and economic experts, and is investigating all important aspects of the scandal. After a thorough investigation, the facts of the scandal will be made public.
