Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari has rejected as false the list circulating on social media regarding members of the delegation visiting Japan, calling it nothing but a bundle of lies.

In a statement, Bokhari said that those targeting national interests have now stooped to attacking Pakistan-Japan diplomatic ties. She noted that for the first time in 25 years, a woman Chief Minister is visiting Japan, yet a malicious campaign has been launched against the trip, which she termed an act of hostility towards the country. She clarified that the names appearing in the viral list are not part of the official delegation.

Bokhari further explained that except for official representatives, all other participants bore their own expenses. She stressed that Pakistan’s ties with Japan are entering a new era, which is welcomed by patriotic citizens but bothers those opposing progress. According to her, detractors are unsettled by initiatives focusing on urban development, technology, and youth skill-building inspired by Japan.

The minister added that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, with divine blessing, will continue working for the welfare of the people and the province, while opponents will remain confined to lies and propaganda.
