Baaghi Tv exclusive: Pakistanis took to streets to express solidarity with Kashmiris
Following the directions of PM Imran Khan, the Pakistani nation took to streets to observe Kashmir hour and express solidarity with Kashmiris on Friday.
According to Baaghitv, a rally was held at the D-chowk in Islamabad where federal ministers, including Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak, members of Parliament, lawyers, students and people from different walks of life assembled in large numbers to express their support with Kashmiri brethren on Friday.
The rally was started from D-chowk and ended at Parliament House. In the rally, defence minister Pervaiz Khattak, Minister for privatization Somroo, senior leaders of PTI, Babar Awan, Aamir Kiyani, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Iftikhar Durrani, chief whip of PTI in NA Aamer Dogar, Parliamentary Secretary Shozab Kanwal, former minister Aleem Khan and others participated in the rally.
Women also participated in the rally in large numbers. On this occasion women assembled in large numbers at D-chowk, Parliament House, Pakistan Secretariat, Prime Minister Secretariat and other places. Women were holding placards, Kashmiri flags, and banners depicting atrocities by Indian security forces in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) and expressing support with Kashmiris were on display.
Many people assembled in front of Prime Minister Office where the central rally was organized and Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed the rally there.
Outside President House, the people assembled in large numbers and the President Arif Alvi addressed the protesters and addressed the International community to play their role in resolving the Kashmir dispute.
Similarly, the people assembled in large in different parts of the country including all provincial capitals, Lahore, Quetta, Karachi and Peshawar and Muzaffarabad.
The central rally in Lahore was organized under the leadership of Governor Punjab Chaudhry Sarwar and Chief Minister Usman Buzdar at Chairing cross where large number of people participated. At the rally, the effigy of Modi was hanged.
Similarly, the rally was organized in Karachi at Quaid-e-Azam Mausoleum to express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren in which Governor Sindh Imran Ismael, federal minister Faisal Vawda, Shahid Afridi(wearing Pakistan Army shirt and cap) and others participated.
In the Balochistan, a central rally was organized in Quetta under the leadership of Chief Minister Jam Kamal along with people from different walks of life and a plethora of students assembled in large number.
In the KPK province, people in large numbers assembled outside Provincial Assembly. The Chief Minister Mehmood Khan, Governor Shah Farman and speaker of KP Assembly Mushtaq Ghani also participated.
People from showbiz faternity also participated in the Kashmir Hour in Karachi to express support with Kashmiri brethren, who are currently facing the worst situation following the imposition of Curfew by Indian administration. The actors Faisal Qureshi, Ejaz Aslam, Adnan Siddique, Shehryar Munawar and former cricketer Moeen Khan assembled holding Kashmiri flag and placards depicting Indian atrocities in Kashmir.
In Jehlum a number of students among others participated in the rally to express support with Kashmiris. The federal minister for Aviation Affairs Ghulam Sarwar lead the rally in Jehlum.
