Top order batsmen rejected reports of grouping in national cricket team and termed them as baseless and concocted in a press conference here on Tuesday.
According to reports of Baaghitv, top order batsmen Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam rejected the reports of ‘grouping’ in national team and termed the performance of players in Cricket World Cup 2019 as ‘satisfactory’ on both individual level and team level. The duo said it was their first World Cup and they are satisfied with their performance. They further said, it is the job of PCB to appoint captain and vice-captain and their attention is on performing for the side.
Babar Azam, when asked about breaking record of legendary batsman Javed Miandad, said it is an ‘honor’ for him to accomplish this record. He said, we had a great comeback in the last matches of the World Cup but unfortunately we could not qualify for semi-final.
