‘Bad Boys 4’ script is in the work: Producer
Months after the release of “Bad Boys for Life”, Producer Jerry Bruckheimer has confirmed that ‘Bad Boys 4’ script was currently in the works.
Although it took 17 years to happen, a third Bad Boys movie finally hit theaters back in January. The Bad Boy franchise features Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as Miami detectives “Mike Lowry” and “Marcus Burnett”.
It also earned $419 million at the box office on a $90 million budget and is currently the highest-grossing movie of 2020 after the coronavirus pandemic forced theaters to close their doors in mid-March.
The first Bad Boys film was released in 1995 and followed lifelong pals Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) and Mike Lowrey (Will Smith) as they attempt to protect a murder witness while investigating the theft of heroin from their own precinct in Miami.
The next film, Bad Boys II, came out eight years later in 2003 and saw the pair attempt to stop MDMA from getting into circulation in Miami.
The pair temporarily contemplated calling their partnership quits after Lowrey started dating Burnett’s sister, but obviously (and thankfully) they kissed and made up. After all, bad boys are indeed for life.
