Balochistan govt. orders to ensure water supply before schools reopen

The Balochistan Education Secretary has asked the Public Health Engineering Department to ensure water supply in all schools before reopening in view of precautionary measures to prevent corona.

According to NGOs working in the field of education, there are a large number of schools in Balochistan that do not have access to water.

In a letter to the Department of Public Health Engineering, the education secretary lamented the death of most schools in Balochistan without even drinking water.

According to the education secretary, precautionary measures against corona include frequent hand washing.

The Public Health Engineering Department has been asked to ensure the availability of water in schools before they reopen so that teachers and children have access to water for hand washing.
