Bangladesh loses 7 quick wickets in second Test match

In the fourth day of the rain-hit second Test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka, seven players of the host team returned to the pavilion for just 71 runs.

According to the details, Pakistani right arm off-break bowler Sajid Khan bowled brilliantly and ushered a sudden collapse to put the home team in deep trouble by taking 6 wickets in his 12-0ver spell giving only 35 runs, while one player was run out by Hassan Ali.

In the start of Bangladesh’s innings, Sajid Khan tore the battling line-up apart as openers Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Liton Das, Shadman Islam, Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahedi Hasan were sent back to the pavilion in no time while Mominul Haque was run out by Hassan Ali.

Rain delays third day’s play in Bangladesh-Pakistan Test

The fourth day of the match started with Pakistan’s innings where Azhar Ali was bowled out for 56 by Ebadot Hossain as wicketkeeper Liton Das took a simple catch after a top-edge and Pakistani skipper Babar Azam was bowled out by Khaled Ahmed after a comprehensive knock of 76 runs.

Due to bad weather, the game started late on the fourth day. On the third day, due to continuous rain, not a single ball could be bowled while in the first two days, only 63.2 overs were played. Not a single innings has been completed in the Test match so far.

Pakistan declared their first innings on 300-4 on the fourth day of the second Test against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday. Pakistan has a 1-0 lead in the two-Test series against Bangladesh.
