Banned organization TLP appeals to revoke government’s decision
Lahore, 29th April: The banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has filed an application for the removal of the ban. The outlaw party TLP appealed to the interior minister on Thursday to review the government’s April 15 decision of banning the organization. According to sources, the interior ministry has called a meeting to hear the appeal by TLP to remove the ban on it. It may be remembered that on April 15, the government listed Tehreek-e-Labbaik in the banned organizations after violent protests were carried out by its workers countrywide. Ministry of Interior declared TLP as a proscribed organization after the Federal Cabinet approved the ban on the party. Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed had announced on April 21 that the ban on the organization will not be reversed, however, TLP has 30 days to file an appeal against the government’s decision.
