Established in 2003, Beaconhouse National University (BNU), is Lahore’s leading liberal arts institution. With over 8 schools specialising in creative disciplines, it continues to set a benchmark for creative education in Pakistan. Among its dynamic departments, the School of Media and Mass Communication (SMC) remains at the forefront of digital and immersive innovation—empowering students to craft experiences that resonate with the evolving digital age.

The 2025 Thesis Showcase is a tradition that reignites the flame of research, and artistic exploration that BNU stands for. Each year, this time of the year brings together students from different departments and calls upon the public to witness the magic of months of ideation, hard work, and execution!

Through immersive technologies such as Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), students have created thought-provoking experiences that reflect not only technical mastery but also a deep understanding of the future of media.

This year’s thesis projects seamlessly blend storytelling with innovation—tackling real-world issues in wellness, education, culture, retail, and gaming.

Indeed, BNU remains a beaconhouse for change and innovation. It continues to nurture the next generation of storytellers and visionaries. After all, what meaning do the 0s and 1s, immersive technologies, and digital tools hold if not guided by the human drive to ideate, explore, and execute?

In a world accelerating through disruption and change, the future belongs to the minds behind the machines.
