‘Bel-Air’, the Fresh Prince reboot, cast revealed
NBC’s Peacock has revealed the cast of ‘Bel-Air’, the upcoming reboot of the iconic 90’s NBC sitcom ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ starring Will Smith.
According to details, a total of nine series regulars have been revealed, with actor Jabari Banks taking on the role of Will, the prince of a town named Bel-Air. Adrian Holmes will be taking on the role of Philip Banks and Cassandra Freeman will act as Vivian Banks.
The new show will be executive produced by Will Smith himself, wherein the 52-year-old actor surprised Banks, a resident of Philadelphia, by giving him the great news personally via video call last month.
On Tuesday, Peacock announced the remaining cast with Olly Sholotan acting as Carlton Banks and Colo Jones playing Hilary Banks. Akira Akbar, Jimmy Akingbloa, Jordan L. Jones, and Simone Joy Jones will play Ashley Banks, Geoffrey, Jazz, and Lisa respectively.
T.J. Brady and Rasheed Newson are also the executive producers alongside Will Smith and Morgan Cooper will be the director, while also acting as additional executive producer alongside being the co-writer as well.
The show will follow the story of Will in a rags-to-riches tale in which he will go from living on Philadephia streets to living with relatives in the opulent Bel-Air. Currently, it has been greenlighted for two seasons.
