29th June: Beyoncé unveiled a short teaser trailer of her new visual album, ‘Black is King,’ on Saturday night at beyonce.com. Her album is inspired by last year’s ‘The Lion King,’ and is headed to Disney+ on July 31st. The trailer revealed the superstar reading a well-worn copy of Robert Farris Thompson’s 1971 book ‘Black Gods and Kings.’ In one visual, she is seen smiling whilst cradling a baby in her arms by the water, whilst a basket is swept by a tide.
